STRIVE creates character driven leadership experiences that help people better understand themselves, connect with others, and lead with purpose in school, sport, and community.
We believe meaningful leadership begins with knowing yourself.
That is why STRIVE focuses on the social and emotional skills that shape how people lead themselves and others. Through dynamic experiences in sport, school, and community spaces, participants practice the skills that help them communicate, connect, persevere, and create stronger cultures.
Because leadership is not something you simply learn about.
It is something you practice.
Explore Our ApproachLeadership develops from the inside out. The STRIVE Leadership Approach is built around four connected areas: Know Yourself, Lead
Yourself, Understand Others, and Lead With Others. Each area develops specific skills that help people better understand themselves, make
intentional choices, strengthen relationships, and lead effectively with others.
Build self awareness by recognizing your values, strengths, emotions, habits, and the impact you have on others.
Turn awareness into action by managing your energy, making intentional choices, navigating challenges, and staying accountable to your goals.
Develop empathy and curiosity so you can better understand different perspectives, experiences, needs, and ways of communicating.
Use trust, communication, collaboration, and shared purpose to strengthen relationships and help groups move forward together.
In 1996, coaches and educators Kevin Morgan, Jeremy Edwards, and Kevin Small saw an opportunity to help young people develop leadership skills with the same intention and practice they brought to athletics.
That idea became Sports Challenge Leadership Academy. What started in sport continued to grow into something much bigger.
Today, STRIVE works across sport, school, and community spaces, helping people develop the character, confidence, and connection needed to lead themselves and others.
