Program Manager

Job Identification:

  • Permanent or Contract: Permanent
  • Full-time or Part-Time: Full-time
  • Hours: 9am – 4pm Monday – Friday with occasional evening and weekend hours
  • Location: Wilmington, DE
    • Hybrid: primarily remote with up to 25% of weekly hours designated for attendance at in-person events
    • In-person events include meetings at Strive’s office in Wilmington, DE, local events, and local and national programming
  • Travel: Occasional long-distance and overnight travel
  • Salary Range: $45,000-$50,000

Job Summary:

The Program Manager plays an integral role in furthering the growth of Strive through developing new partner/client relationships. Their key responsibility is to manage and execute on an outreach strategic plan.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Outreach & Partner Management

  • Co-design outreach strategic plan with Director of Programming in support of reaching annual fee-for-service goals
  • Execute and manage outreach strategic plan
  • Cultivate and strengthen partner relationships through consistent contact and timely follow through
  • Cultivate new partner relationships: schools, community organizations, local athletic leagues, etc.
  • Attend networking events
  • Manage and demonstrate ownership of all aspects of each assigned partner

Implementation

  • Facilitate workshops, events, programming, etc. as assigned
  • Strengthen partner relationships through implementation 

Program Design & Curriculum Development

  • Collaborate with Director of Programming to ensure necessary feedback and evaluation tools are implemented
  • Assist in curriculum development and program design

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years work experience in education, athletics, nonprofits, and/or other related fields
  • Experience in outreach, program management and customer relations
  • Experience in facilitating, teaching and/or coaching is a plus, but not required
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Possesses a passion for education and/or coaching, particularly in the areas of youth development, social-emotional learning, leadership development and/or athletics
  • Understands the essential roles diversity, equity and inclusion play in leadership development
  • Demonstrated problem solving, autonomy and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and take initiative 
  • Self-motivated team player with the ability to meet deadlines, remain flexible, and adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment 
  • An enthusiastic leader with a zest for learning and a strong commitment to positively impacting others
  • Strong passion for exceeding partner/client expectations
  • Proficiency in Google Platform (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, etc) 
  • Experience with HubSpot, WordPress, Canva a plus

Expectations:

  • Strive asks that employees utilize their personal laptop for Strive-related work, although it is not a requirement. If you do not have a laptop, please communicate this and we will lend you a laptop for work-related tasks.
  • Strive expects all employees to have a reliable means of transportation to arrive on time to in-person meetings and events.  
  • Employees are required to obtain a background check.
